A D ay in the L ife

As an Senior Groundwater Modeller, in our Oakville, Guelph, Calgary office, you’ll be responsible for assisting multiple projects where you will have increasing interaction with our multi-disciplinary staff, regulatory agencies and clients. You will be part of a strong team of committed professionals.

The compensation range for this role is $134,000 to $184,000, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location

To thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:

• D evel op and ap ply groundwater flow and transport models to support decision-making for a wide range of projects.

• Provide ownership, o versight, review, and technical direction of modelling projects and deliverables , collaborating closely with junior and intermediate project staff , internal collaborators, and clients .

• Lead discussions with clients and prepare scopes of work including pricing and staffing .

• Act as project manager for multiple routine projects or fewer complex projects .

• Develop and execut e conceptual model-driven work plans that balance the application of innovative modelling tools and approaches with the scale and scope of the problem.

• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team focused on being trusted advisor s to our clients .

• Manag e multiple priorities, scope changes and support multiple project managers .

• Provide peer review and technical accountability of project results and reports.

• Liaise with clients and stakeholders within various sectors .

Your E xpertise and

S kills

• A n undergraduate or g r aduate degree in Engineering , Earth Sciences or related discipline

• 1 5 years’ experience in a similar role within a consulting environment with experience in hydrogeology and numerical methods .

• P rofessional registration with provincial self-regulating organizations (e.g., APEGA) .

• Demonstrated experience in the application of numerical model ling tools and approaches, including, remedial action plans, subwatershed studies, environmental assessments, wellhead protection studies , and uncertainty analysis to support risk assessment .

• Experience with FEFLOW, MODFLOW, M IKESHE , ATRANS, Hydrus, or similar software .

• Knowledge in specialized technical areas such as geostatistics , reactive transport modelling, multi-phase modelling , or coupled surface water-groundwater flow and transport modelling .

• Skilled in data analysis using Database/GIS/Visualization tools to support conceptual model development and numerical modelling results analyses .

• Experience in data management and analysis, especially with Python or SQL .

• Strong business development acumen and desire to develop an d expand client opportunities .

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a collaborative attitude .

• Strong commitment to mentorship and knowledge transfer .

• Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team environment .

• Strong e xperience writing technical memos and giving presentations in a consulting environment .

• A valid class G driver’s license with no restrictions is an asset .
