Senior Communications Specialist, APX - Remote at Westinghouse Electric Company

About the role:

As a Senior Communications Specialist at APX, you will partner with our new plant team. You will implement communications strategies and content to help grow the business in North America. Additionally, you will strengthen our culture and enhance Westinghouse's reputation and visibility. You will report to the Senior Manager, Communications, APX and work remote. 100% Remote position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work as part of a team delivering communications campaigns for the APX business unit to win new plant business in North America for Westinghouse's portfolio of advanced nuclear reactors.

• Understand local industry organizations and events, identifying opportunities for participation to demonstrate thought leadership and enhance our brand.

• Collaborate with teams - including marketing, commercial, sales, operations and legal - to produce materials that demonstrate the benefits of our technologies to our customers.

• Follow an editorial calendar, collaborating with other members of the Global Communications team to ensure delivery of materials. Support internal communications to ensure employee engagement and understanding of company values.

• Ensure brand consistency across all local communication channels.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in communications, marketing communications, journalism.

• 5+ years of experience in a corporate setting.

• Proficiency in one or more of the following areas: corporate communications, public relations, media relations, government relations, brand marketing, or a related field. Preferably, this experience is in an industrial environment.

• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills and the ability to communicate/collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization. Experience in corporate communications, brand management, social media engagement.

• Working knowledge and application of AP writing style.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $90,000 to $112,500 per year.
