Core Driller
Stubbes Precast Commercial Ltd
A Core Driller works independently to perform core drilling tasks on commercial pre-cast structures, usually post-erection. Long hours are involved, working in most weather conditions. Overnight stays are occasionally involved depending on the job location and requirement.
THE DAY TO DAY
- Drives to job sites
- Unload necessary equipment
- Reads plans and determine what drilling is required
- Measures and marks of the drilling areas
- Performs required drilling
- Maintains a safe and organized job site
- Helps the precast erection crew as required
- Cleans site and load equipment when tasks are complete
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Must be able to work in a self-managed team.
- Ability to read and write English
- Ability to read tape measure (metric/imperial) and drawings
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Safety conscious
- Able to work well independently, with little supervision
- Attention to detail and accurate
- Reliable and highly motivated
- Welding experience an asset
- One year’s experience in a similar field is preferred
