HOURS: Full time hours available. To be discussed with successful candidate. TYPE: To be discussed with successful candidate. Full time permanent. A busy ophthalmology practice in a beautiful office is seeking a reliable, personable, and professional individual to help provide superior eye care to patients of Regina and southern Saskatchewan. Potential for a long-term career with professional growth and development. A competitive compensation package is offered. Medical office experience with prior usage of ACCURO EMR an asset, but not required. Certified Optician, COA, COT, or COMT an asset, but also not required as ALL NEW HIRES RECEIVE FULL TRAINING. DUTIES:Provide ophthalmic assistant support to ophthalmologist, including recording medical history, vision assessments, and basic eye examinations.
Using an electronic medical record (EMR), records examination findings. STRONG COMPUTER SKILLS REQUIRED AS OFFICE IS ESSENTIALLY PAPERLESS.
Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, and performing preventive maintenance. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Be accountable for the quality and accuracy of the testing and charting completed
Efficient word processing and keyboarding skills
Ability to follow written or verbal instructions accurately
Ability to cope with frequent interruptions while maintaining deadlines (multi-tasking environment)
