The Financial and Consumer Services Commission (Commission) is a leader in integrated financial and consumer services regulation. The Commission's mandate is to protect consumers and enhance public confidence in the financial and consumer marketplace through the provision of regulatory and educational services. With offices in both Fredericton and Saint John, it is responsible for the administration and enforcement of provincial legislation regulating mortgage brokers, payday lenders, real estate, securities, insurance, pensions, credit unions, trust and loan companies, cooperatives, unclaimed property, and a wide range of consumer legislation. The Commission is a self funded Crown corporation responsible for the administration and enforcement of financial consumer services legislation.

Privacy and Information Coordinator - Information Technology and Strategic Performance Division (Saint John or Fredericton office)

Reporting to the Privacy and Information Strategist, the Privacy and Information Coordinator provides operational, administrative and technical support for the Commission's privacy and access to information program. This role supports privacy compliance activities, coordinates Right to Information and Protection of Privacy Act (RTIPPA) requests and assists with incident management and organizational preparedness activities.

Your Focus

• Support the administration and maintenance of the Commission's privacy program, including the Personally Identifiable Information (PII) inventory, privacy compliance activities and privacy incident tracking.
• Coordinate the administrative processes related to RTIPPA requests, including records searches, file management, tracking deadlines and preparing documentation for review.
• Support the Commission's incident management framework by coordinating activities, maintaining documentation and assisting with preparedness initiatives and exercises.
• Maintain documentation, records, and tracking systems to support compliance with legislative and organizational requirements.
• Assist with training, awareness initiatives and continuous improvement activities related to privacy, access to information and incident management.

What You Bring

• Post-secondary education in business administration, information management, public administration or a related field.
• Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in coordination, administrative or operational support role.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and work both independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint.

Additional Strengths

• Knowledge of RTIPPA or similar legislation
• Experience supporting incident management or compliance-related processes.
• Knowledge of or experience with Microsoft Purview
• Ability to speak and understand both English and French.

Salary Range: $56,384 - $77,527
