Office Tower is a professional office environment supporting operations and administrative services. The site requires front-facing professionalism, controlled access management, and routine patrols of common areas. Officers must maintain a secure and respectful atmosphere in alignment with site standards

Position: Security Guard

Site: Summit Properties - Office Tower

Status: Full Time

Hours: Monday - Friday (09:00 - 15:00 hours), Saturday (14:00 - 22:00 hours)

Pay Rate: $21/hr

Posting Date: May 27th, 2026

Internal Closing Date: June 3rd, 2026

External Closing Date: June 30th, 2026

Essential Job Functions: 

• Conducting frequent patrols to have an increased presence and act as a deterrent for unauthorized individuals 
• To support tenants, customers and building staff on site and to ensure that the area was a safe and comfortable place for all patrons and tenants 
• Watch for and report irregularities by completing investigations and incident reports, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards and emergency situations; contact emergency responders, such as police, fire and/or ambulance personnel, as required
• Sustain effective relationships with key stakeholders and provide specialized security services by enforcing rules and regulations when required
• Offer support to any person in need such as providing good customer service when providing a security presence, such as providing direction, responding to an emergency situation involving violent individuals and injuries
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Requirements: 

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (WSIB-approved vendor)  
• Vulnerable Sector Check
• Proficient in English, both oral and written
• Working knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act 
• Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, tact and diplomacy
• Authorized to legally work in Canada
• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred 
• Able to maintain a professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances and people under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations
