There is no option to work remotely. Responsibilities: Calculate the cost of truck repairs and new parts if needed Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions Mountain driving expertise Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy Load and unload goods Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment Perform emergency roadside repairs Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle Perform preventive maintenance Receive and relay information to central dispatch Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo Transport and handle dangerous goods Credentials Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses Air Brakes Endorsement Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks) Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate Experience and specialization Documentation knowledge Accident or incident reports Driver logbook Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip) Trans-border documentation Trip reports Transportation/travel experience International Long-haul Provincial/territorial Additional information Security and safety Valid passport Driver's validity licence check Driving record check (abstract) Drug test Transportation/travel information Travel expenses paid by employer Willing to travel cross-border Willing to travel internationally Willing to travel overnight Work conditions and physical capabilities Attention to detail Handling heavy loads Repetitive Sitting Own tools/equipment Cellular phone Safety vest Personal suitability Organized Reliability Team player Hardworking Patience Benefits Other benefits Parking available Until: 2026-06-22
