Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Sales and Marketing to lead our sales and marketing initiatives. This strategic role will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies that drive growth, enhance customer satisfaction, and strengthen our market position. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in technology sales, account management, and leadership, with a proven track record of success in outside sales.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.
- Set performance targets, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and report on progress to the executive team.
- Team Management & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing sales and marketing team, ensuring effective collaboration across departments.
- Identify talent needs, manage recruitment, and oversee training initiatives to enhance team performance.
- Market Expansion:
- Identify and explore new market opportunities, strategic partnerships, and channels to expand our customer base.
- Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends and competitive dynamics.
- Sales Operations:
- Oversee the sales process, from lead generation and pipeline management to deal closing and post-sale support.
- Implement CRM best practices and drive data-driven decision making across the sales organization.
- Marketing Oversight:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop compelling campaigns, brand initiatives, and digital strategies that increase market visibility and drive customer engagement.
- Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all channels and customer touchpoints.
- Budget & Forecasting:
- Manage departmental budgets, forecast revenue, and optimize resource allocation to maximize return on investment.
- Prepare detailed reports and analyses for senior management to inform strategic decision making.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with product development, finance, and customer service teams to ensure alignment of sales and marketing efforts with overall business strategy.
- Provide insights to help shape product development and innovation based on customer feedback and market trends.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor or higher degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; a technical background will be an asset.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in sales and marketing.
- Proven track record of driving significant revenue growth and successful market expansion in a competitive industry.
- Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities, with experience in building and scaling high-performance teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with people at all levels.
- Demonstrated experience with CRM systems and a data-driven approach to sales and marketing.
