AgeCare has been appointed as the manager of the Generations Toronto long-term care home and is recruiting the Cook on behalf of Generations Toronto. **The Opportunity** The Cook of the Long-Term Care residence is responsible for ensuring that proper meals are prepared and served on time and that work areas are maintained in a safe and sanitary condition. **What Is In It For You** •Checks special diet orders for new admissions to ensure they are correct (as required). •Responds to resident or family member concerns and ensures appropriate action is taken within decision-making authority and/or brings to the attention of the Food Services Manager/Supervisor. •Directs Food Services Workers in the performance of their duties and assumes responsibility for the operation of the Food Services Department (as required). **What You Will Need** •Prior experience as a Cook preferably in a supervisory capacity. **•Current provincial Safe Food Handling Certificate.** •A minimum of public-school education is required. High school education is preferred. •Must have a diploma/certificate or equivalent in quality food preparation and production.Salary Range: $26.03 - $27.67 per hourSalary placement based on qualifications and experience.*This job posting is for an active, open position, and all applications are reviewed by our team without the use of artificial intelligence (AI).
