Our client is a busy and growing, established brand and a leading company in their industry.
For the Operations Manager role in the Vancouver area, the successful candidate will lead the production management team in delivering on operations and safety metrics of the department. The role will ensure production schedules and customer commitments are met while maintaining strong operational and quality standards and exceptional service.

For the Operations Manager role in the Vancouver area, the successful candidate will lead the production management team in delivering on operations and safety metrics of the department. The role will ensure production schedules and customer commitments are met while maintaining strong operational and quality standards and exceptional service.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure daily production and operational KPIs are achieved.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels and management/supervisory coverage, partnering with Human Resources on staffing and performance matters.
- Ensure compliance with OH&S requirements, industry standards, company policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with freight and logistics and customer service to balance customer requirements with operational capacity and priorities.
- Partner with maintenance to address equipment challenges, minimize downtime, and identify improvement opportunities.
- Coach and mentor your leadership team with reviews, structured meetings and communication.
- 5-10 years of operational leadership or management experience.
- Experience in a unionized, high-volume manufacturing or related environment is an asset.
- Relevant post-secondary education, technical training, and/or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite plus ERP systems
- Exposure to or training in Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies is an asset.
