We are currently looking for an import and purchasing specialist role for an amazing company in Dorval. They are currently growing and have lots of room for advancement. This person will be working in the imports department for a company that specializes in several products and industries around the world. This person will be wearing many hats in the company.

Responsibilities
Candidate will be issuing purchase orders to suppliers.
In charge of all follow up until goods are shipped
Proficient in excel and SAP Business One an asset.
Will be intermediary between division managers, sales team and suppliers.
Will provide weekly reporting on status of purchase orders.
Great communication and organization skills an asset.
Communicate daily with suppliers/carriers via phone and email
Review sample and production results
Follow up on pricing for garment costing
Issue purchasing orders and confirm delivery date with suppliers

Provide shipping information to customer
Assist in tracking shipments and provide alternative information
Liaison with different departments within the company to facilitate the shipments

Qualifications
Strong work ethic and positive attitude especially when dealing with trouble case under pressure
Strong computer skills
Data Entry proficiency
English spoken/ written
English-speaking internal and external [clients/partners/employees] located outside Quebec on a [daily/regular] basis
Problem Solver
Knowledge of imports
Strong computer skills including proficiency in Advanced Excel, Word & Outlook and Quick learner in learning our ERP system.
