Expected Start Date: February 09, 2026 Union: HSAS Facility: Royal University Hospital City/Town: Saskatoon Department: Child Life Type: Part-time regular FTE: 0.89 Shift Information: Days Hours of Work: 25 shifts of 8 hours per 6 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Child Life Therapist - Degree $34.181 to $41.805 Travel Required: No Job : The Child Life Therapist strives to reduce the impact of stressful or traumatic life events and situations which affect the development, health and well-being of infants, children, youth and families. Reporting to the Manager of Child Life Services, the Child Life Therapist assesses, develops and implements evidence-based, developmentally and psychologically appropriate programming and interventions to prepare clients and families for any diagnostic/treatment procedures. As a member of multidisciplinary pediatric teams, the incumbent shall advocate for/represent Child Life on committees, rounds, conferences, hospital and community initiatives where there is concern for the psychosocial, emotional and developmental needs of children, youth and families. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement" Human Resources Exemption: No Education- Bachelor's degree from an ACLP endorsed program

- Bachelor's degree with a focus on Child & Youth is acceptable
- Obtain child life certification w/in 1yr of employment as a Child Life Therapist
- Bachelor's degree with a focus on pediatric development is acceptable
- Bachelor's degree with a focus on Child Psychology is acceptable
- Bachelor's degree with a focus on Child and Family studies is acceptable
