Android Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, monitor, operate, and maintain rider experience components end to end.
• Write reliable, performant, maintainable code with comprehensive test coverage.
• Reduce technical debt and improve tooling and code structure.
• Analyze systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions while sharing knowledge across the team.
• Produce technical specifications, runbooks, and documentation covering requirements, security, and privacy.
• Rotate on-call, monitor production systems, fix bugs, maintain dashboards and alerts, and support production incidents.
• Collaborate with product, design, data science, analytics, QA, TPM, and operations teams.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1–3 years of software engineering industry experience.
• Experience with Kotlin.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose, declarative UI development, and creating shared components.
• Ability to explain the reasoning behind technical decisions and work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
• Side projects or open-source contributions are a bonus.
