Electrical Oversight Engineer in Edmonton

Take on a Senior Oversight Electrical Engineer IV position in Edmonton or Calgary, merging hybrid work flexibility with impactful renewable energy initiatives. This senior role focuses on overseeing the engineering design of utility-scale projects, ensuring all work meets stringent regulations and standards. You will evaluate engineering packages from contractors, lead teams, and prepare compliant documentation for regulatory review. Your technical direction will be pivotal for maintaining project safety and success. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead reviews of engineering and design packages
- Evaluate high-voltage systems and integration components
- Ensure adherence to IEEE, UL, and NEC standards
- Provide support during all phases of projects
- Engage in field modification documentation
- 10-15 years of design and commissioning experience
- Minimum 5 years in oil & gas, 3 years in renewables
- Electrical Engineering degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s)
- Proven experience with grid interconnection
- Ability to lead influence without authority
