Head of Business Development in Water Treatment

Among the technologies for which we are renowned is the Evaplant process, a vegetalized technology for reducing the volume of industrial wastewater. As our Head of Business Development in Water Treatment, you will be responsible for developing and managing the technical sales activities associated with the Evaplant technology. You will work closely with the management team to develop growth strategies and to build strong relationships with existing and potential customers. Your work will contribute directly to reducing the environmental impact of industrial wastewater and to preserving water resources.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement sales and after-sales processes in the phytotechnologies division.
- Develop the Evaplant water treatment market (initially in Ontario, in the technical landfills sector).
- Present and promote Ramo's products and services in a convincing manner, providing technical information and solutions adapted to customer needs.
- Draw up sales proposals, negotiate contracts and follow up sales.
- Provide effective after-sales service and ensure the resolution of any potential problems, in collaboration with the engineering team.
- Establish long-term relationships with customers and strategic partners, through a thorough understanding of their specific water treatment needs.
- Develop and maintain in-depth technical knowledge of Ramo's products and services, particularly of the Evaplant technology, in order to answer customers' technical questions.
- Develop, in collaboration with the management team, growth strategies for water treatment.
- Assess market trends and competition to identify new growth opportunities.
- Actively participate in trade shows and industry events to promote Ramo and to expand the organization's network, including during presentations and lunch&learns to engineering firms.
SKILLS AND APTITUDES
- Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields, or equivalent: Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology Engineering, Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, Agri-Environmental Engineering, Bioresources Engineering
- Minimum of ten years of relevant experience in business development;
- Flexibility for frequent travel in industrial environments, mainly in Quebec and Ontario;
- Valid driver's license;
- Fluency in spoken and written French and English;
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec association or of the Professional Engineers of Ontario association;
- In-depth knowledge of the landfill and industrial water treatment industries, a strong asset;
- Knowledge of Quebec's and/or Ontario's environmental regulations governing the treatment of industrial waters, particularly leachates from landfill sites, a strong asset;
- Experience in selling water treatment systems, or in the municipal or landfills sectors, a strong asset;
- Possession of an extensive professional network in waste management, phytoremediation, water treatment, in the municipal sector, or in any related field relevant to the mandate, a strong asset.
WORK CONDITIONS
- Permanent position
- Annual salary between $115,000.00 and $130,000.00 + commissions
- Group insurance, including dental
- 4 weeks vacation starting the first year
