Host Program Supervisor

The Host Program Supervisor supports the daily operation of the Sun Host, Tuesday Race Series and Evening Starlight Fondue programs by coordinating Hosts, instructor evening assignments, and day-to-day operational requirements. This position provides immediate direction and support to the assigned team, related products, helps maintain program safety and service standards, and serves as the first point of escalation for routine guest and operational concerns. The Host Program Supervisor works closely with the Program Supervisors. The role is focused on the effective execution of daily program operations and ensuring Hosts instructors and guests receive consistent, high-quality support. This role requires a split shift schedule Monday to Friday 8am-12pm and 4pm-8pm except for Tuesday 8am-4pm. If this sounds like the role for you, apply today!

Compensation Information: $24.55 per hour

Physical Requirement: Medium; work activities involve handling loads up to 20kg; both in an outdoor and indoor environment (involves on-snow supervision, keyboard/administrative tasks, and handling seasonal outdoor demands).

This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

This role is eligible for an incentive for successful applicants to receive $1 per hour worked based on completion of a full winter season contract. Conditions apply to this incentive and will be shared during the interview and onboarding.

Skills you bring with you:

• Certification: None required.
• Experience: Several seasons of demonstrated experience operating in a leadership capacity within a professional team environment.
• Technical Proficiency: Computer literate with practical experience navigating Microsoft Office Suite and employee scheduling databases (such as RTP).
• Legal & Compliance: Legally authorized to work in Canada for the 26/27 winter season contract. Must successfully pass criminal record check as a bona fide occupational requirement for overseeing programs.
• Communication: Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills. Proven track record of high-tier customer service and collaborative teamwork within the tourism sector.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Coordinating daily Host and staff inventories to maximize labor utilization while maintaining program safety and quality standards.
• Create, manage, and audit all daily schedules, ensuring accurate tracking of any paid staff operational activities and Host hours in alignment with resort policies and BC Employment Standards
• Oversee morning Sun Host line-ups, Tuesday Race Series and evening Fondues, ensuring Hosts and staff report to designated meeting areas punctually and prepared for their scheduled shifts.
• Provide immediate logistical direction, performance feedback, and support to the Host and staff team.
• Ensure all Hosts are trained in, and actively utilizing, Skill Level Selectors to accurately match guests to appropriate terrain and experiences.
• Monitor compliance regarding resort professional standards, personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines, and uniform appearance rules
• Act as the point of contact for guest inquiries, feedback, and program dissatisfaction.
• Implement professional service-recovery tactics to resolve guest issues efficiently, utilizing communication strategies that align with the resort's guest service goals.
• Guide guests toward appropriate future bookings, and multi-day packages to drive department retention and support sales.
• Enforce compliance with the Alpine Responsibility Code and resort risk management protocols across any related programs.
• Ensure appropriate staffing, setting up/take down of all Tuesday Race Series events.
• Ensure appropriate staffing and operational control over evening Fondue events.
• Create first hiring contact, on boarding and training oversight for the Host group.
• Direct on-going seasonal communications with Host group.
