POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Manoir Fontainebleau is delighted to welcome a wonderful senior clientele in a warm and friendly atmosphere. We are currently looking for a Server for a permanent part-time position, 15 hours per week, with day shifts (10:00 AM to 2:00 PM) and evening shifts (4:00 PM to 7:00 PM), and one weekend out of two.

ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• As part of the team, ensure the cleanliness of the dining rooms floors, tables and chairs (may require light housekeeping chores, sweeping, vacuuming, cleaning etc.).
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure good teamwork
• Greet clients and orient new residents by proposing their seat at an appropriate table
• Greet residents in the dining room and ensure they are comfortable
• Perform other related duties
• Supervise the preparation of cold meals and desserts
• Take orders, noting specific requests and following-up with the kitchen staff

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Good sense of interpersonal communication
• knowledge of a Maitre D
• At least one year of experience in a similar position
• Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset
