What will your typical day look like?

This role has a very wide breadth of responsibility to be accountable for and exercise significant judgment regarding complex and ever evolving risk matters related to external communications and other risk management areas. It operates at the intersection of legal, regulatory, business strategy and a complex geopolitical environment.

Specific responsibilities of the role may include:

• Autonomy and independent decision making on a regular basis
• Close collaboration and regular interaction with leaders across the Deloitte Global functions and member firms to determine risk and governance areas of focus
• Advising on Deloitte Global and network-wide matters, evaluating risks and offering strategic counsel to stakeholders
• Driving the development and implementation of evolving technologies into risk management processes, guidelines and tools to address emerging and evolving risks and support strategic growth initiatives
• Providing leadership to help sustain a diverse, inclusive and high-performing team culture for direct and indirect reports

 

About the team

Deloitte Global Risk makes an impact by developing programs, processes and resources to preserve, protect and enhance the Deloitte brand. We identify new and emerging risks that could significantly impact the network, mitigate risks as they occur, proactively engage with regulators and key stakeholders that impact professional services, and build a clear voice around select policy topics around the globe.

Qualifications

 

Required:

• 10+ years’ experience in a related field
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., risk management, finance, business, law)
• Proven record in advising senior leaders on risk management, regulatory, compliance, or related fields
• Demonstrated success in leadership capabilities, including inspiring teams, driving agility, building diverse capability, delivering value as well as collaborating with senior leaders and influencing outcomes
• Critical and strategic thinking, with meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Ability to work on confidential and sensitive matters
• Ability to work independently and make informed decisions
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written

 

Preferred:

• Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) or certifications such as Certified Public Accountant, or equivalent
• Deep expertise in risk management, law, regulatory compliance or related fields
• Knowledge of the risk landscape globally and emerging/evolving trends
• Proficiency in risk assessment tools and methodologies

 

Total Rewards

The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $260,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
