What You'll Do

As an Optometric Assistant, you'll play a key role in both the clinical and administrative sides of the practice. Responsibilities include:

• Welcome patients with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude.
• Check patients in and out while ensuring a seamless appointment experience.
• Perform pre-testing and diagnostic procedures in preparation for the Optometrist.
• Assist the clinical team with patient care and daily clinic operations.
• Schedule appointments and manage incoming phone calls.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Support the team in keeping the clinic organized and running efficiently.
• Deliver an exceptional patient experience during every visit.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in an optometric or medical office is preferred.
• We are happy to train the right candidate with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
• Must be reliable, dependable, and able to consistently commute to our Kelowna clinic.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
