Housing Support Worker

Susan Ulmer Addiction Services is seeking a dependable Housing Support Worker to complete scheduled wellness checks for participants living in one of our housing units.
The main purpose of this role is to ensure participants are safe, well, and accounted for, while reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff. Responsibilities:Complete morning check-ins to confirm participants are home and doing well.
Complete scheduled afternoon wellness checks.
Report safety, wellness, maintenance, or participant concerns.
Complete brief documentation of check-ins and incidents.
Respond appropriately to urgent situations and contact management or emergency services when needed.
Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries. Qualifications:
Experience in addictions, mental health, housing, outreach, social services, or community support is an asset.
Strong communication, observation, and problem-solving skills.
Dependable, organized, and able to work independently.
Comfortable supporting individuals with complex needs.
Requirements
Valid drivers licence.
Confident and experienced driver.
Reliable transportation and appropriate insurance.
Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check may be required. Hours: Approximately 9:30 AM12:30 PM, plus afternoon wellness checks
Schedule: 7-day coverage
Start Date: ASAP
