Work Arrangement: This is a hybrid position requiring candidates to work on-site at least 2 days per week at our office in Mississauga. The remaining days may be worked remotely, subject to team and business needs.

About the Role

McKesson Canada is seeking a strategic and entrepreneurial leader to establish and lead our Innovation Incubationcapability.Reportingintoacross-functionalinnovationecosystem,thisrolewillidentify,validate,anddevelopnewgrowthopportunitiesthatsupportMcKessonCanada'slong-termbusinessstrategy.

Working closely with Corporate Strategy, Business Development, Business Unit leaders, and external partners, you will evaluate emerging healthcare trends, unmet customer needs,anddisruptivetechnologiestodeterminewhereMcKessoncancreatenewvalue.Throughdisciplinedexperimentation,customerdiscovery,prototyping,andbusinessmodeldevelopment,youwilltransformideasintoinvestment-readyopportunitiesandscalablegrowthinitiatives.

What You'll Do

• BuildandleadMcKessonCanada'sinnovationincubationcapabilityfocusedonidentifyingandvalidatingnewgrowthopportunities.

• Developandmanageaninnovationportfolioandopportunitypipelinefromconceptthroughinvestmentrecommendation.

• PartnerwithCorporateStrategyandBusinessDevelopmenttoevaluatestrategicgrowthopportunitiesandemergingmarkettrends.

• Conductmarket,customer,andpartnerdiscoveryactivitiestovalidatebusinessopportunitiesandcustomerdemand.

• Design,test,andrefinenewbusinessmodels,valuepropositions,revenuestreams,andcommercializationstrategies.

• Leadrapidexperimentation,pilotprograms,andminimumviableproduct(MVP)developmenttoassessmarketviability.

• Developbusinesscasesandfinancialmodelsevaluatingmarketsize,revenuepotential,profitability,investmentrequirements,andreturnoninvestment.

• Establishandmanageinnovationstage-gateprocesses,includingsuccessmetrics,governance,andinvestmentrecommendations.

• Buildstrategicrelationshipsacrossthehealthcareecosystem,includinghealthsystems,pharmaceuticalmanufacturers,startups,technologyproviders,academicinstitutions,andindustryassociations.

• CollaboratewithBusinessUnits,Technology,Finance,andTransformationteamstotransitionvalidatedopportunitiesintoscalablebusinessinitiatives.

• Prepareexecutive-levelpresentationsandrecommendationssupportingbuild,buy,partner,orscaledecisions.

• Mentoranddevelopteammemberswhilefosteringacultureofinnovation,experimentation,andcustomer-centricthinking.

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor'sdegreeinBusiness,Innovation,HealthcareAdministration,Finance,Engineering,Strategy,Marketing,orarelatedfield.

• 10+ years of professional experience in innovation, strategy, venture development, new business development, commercialization, management consulting, product strategy, or related fields.

• Experienceleadinginnovationprograms,ventureincubationinitiatives,commercializationefforts,ornewbusinesscreation.

• Experiencedevelopingbusinesscases,financialmodels,andexecutive-levelrecommendations.

• Experienceengagingandinfluencingseniorleadershipandcross-functionalstakeholders.

• Experienceleadingteamsthroughambiguityandorganizationalchange.

• Exceptionalexecutivecommunication,storytelling,andpresentationskills.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Master'sdegreeorotheradvanceddegree.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
