Job Overview

Responsible for coordinating the technical design and modification of mechanical components and systems for Airbus’ Landing Gear line, ensuring compliance with design requirements and operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the technical design and modification of mechanical components and systems according to the Airbus Canada Change Management process.
• Review and validate technical documentation, engineering drawings, and supplier deliverables to ensure conformity with design requirements and operational standards.
• Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve technical mechanical issues.
• Investigate and assess mechanical non‑conformities and system deficiencies, and propose corrective actions.
• Support Final Assembly Line (FAL): assess and disposition Reports of Non‑conformance (RNCs) and participate in the duty roster per the assigned schedule.
• Plan and manage projects in support of the FAL, preparing material, cost estimates and reports.
• Provide engineering guidance on mechanical system installation, modification, and commissioning for production and assembly operations.
• Prepare Non‑incorporated Engineering Orders (NIEOs) and update Restriction and/or Special Instructions (RSIs) to support Flight Test Center needs.

Qualifications

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least two (2) years of relevant experience in Landing Gear.
• Knowledge of the Airbus Final Assembly Line (FAL) processes, including Reports of Non‑conformance (RNCs).
• Proficiency with the Google Suite.
• Ability to work autonomously and function as a team player.
• Good knowledge of French or English (written and spoken).
