The Operational Excellence Lead will strategically lead and oversee advanced operational excellence initiatives and Continuous Improvement programs at the CIVA compounding site. This role demands a combination of deep expertise in Continuous Improvement (CI), advanced data analytics and Lean methodology implementation to drive process optimisation, enhance service delivery, and improve business profitability. The role focuses on identifying, executing and accelerating Margin Improvement Projects (MIP's) and continuous improvement initiatives to optimise profitability and cost efficiency in compounding. The complexity and strategic impact of this role require a leader capable of integrating CI and business skills at a regional and Global level.

The Operational Excellence (OPEX) Lead in conjunction with the Associate Director of Pharmacy Services will develop, prioritize, drive and execute business and operational strategies.

• Develop and implement lean manufacturing strategy and initiatives to establish and maintain a culture of continuous improvement at the site.
• Analyze current systems/processes and establish baseline and target metrics.
• Lead the Lean Daily Management System (LDMS) and Baxter Operating System (BOS) programs, including proactive management of Zone Control, Fast Response Meetings and Critical Point Gemba.
• Implement Six Sigma (6S) and Visual Management methodologies at a regional level to streamline processes, reduce waste, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
• Establish a current state capacity model and develop a capacity planning tool for future growth in alignment with Commercial strategy
• Develop mechanisms for monitoring all program and project progress.
• Support GMP and QA functions in process and procedural improvements to ensure operational effectiveness and simplification
• Identify automation and digital transformation opportunities that can drive efficiencies and profitability at the site in alignment with the Commercial and Global Compounding strategies
• In conjunction with Associate Director of Pharmacy Services establish budget proposals and CapEx requirements for OpEx initiatives.
• Identify high-impact opportunities for cost savings and efficiency gains, leveraging advanced data analysis to prioritize and implement MIP.
• Support Global compounding continuous improvement projects.
