Machine Operator

Career1 is searching for a Machine Operator for our client who is located at Mississauga. This position is a permanent position.

Your day-to-day:

• Prepares and starts up wick clip machine at beginning of shift and shuts down at the end of the shift.
  


• Checks accuracy of all components before start-up
  


• Ensures everything is completed and the machine area has been cleaned before leaving.
  


• Runs machines, according to work orders for the wick clip machine.
  


• Reports run quantity to Wick Clip Lead Hand.
  


• Performs quality checks and reports them on the Machine Operator checklist
  


• Maintains machinery in good condition at all times.
  


• Ensures that the equipment is running to specifications.
  


• Safeguards the area around machinery and verifies safe conditions prior to operating and throughout the shift.
  


• Does not bypass safety mechanisms.
  


• Maintains cleanliness and tidiness at all time
  

Requirements

You must have:

• Experience in a production environment is required
  


• Minimum grade 12 Education
  


• Good command of both written and spoken English
  


• Mechanically inclined preferred
  


• Good mathematical skills
  


• 6 months - 1 years experience in a similar role
  


• Shift: Night & Morning Shift
