We are currently looking for Bakers to join our team! The Bakers will be part of our Samples and Special Orders kitchen, which is responsible for developing new product lines of customized bakery goods and testing new recipes before they are introduced into mass production. The ideal candidates should be organized, attentive, focused on food quality, and possess a strong understanding of baking techniques

Primary Responsibilities:

·         Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, croissants, puff pastries and many more

·         Test new recipes to ensure quality and determine the optimal ingredient proportions for production

·         Bake products according to test recipes to ensure consistency and quality

·         Participate in developing production plans

·         Ensure that the quality of the products aligns with established standards

·         Order baking supplies as needed to maintain smooth production

·         Maintain stock to ensure a ready supply for experimental recipes

·         Keep records of deliveries, inventory, and production

·         Use and operate mixing and blending machines

·         Ensure the workplace is always maintained clean and organized, and work is performed in a safe manner

Requirements of Position:

·         Secondary School Diploma or equivalent

·         At least 1 year of related experience

·         Attention to detail, especially when performing quality inspections on ingredients and products

·         Must be able to speak basic English to communicate with other staff members and have enough reading knowledge to understand menu and special orders

Compensation & Conditions:

·         Permanent, full-time position

·         $22 – 25 per hour for a minimum of 40 hours per week

·         Overtime may be required and will be paid at 1.5 of your regular hourly rate after 44 hours per week
