Costume Store Sales Associate and Seamstress

Job Responsibility:
We are looking for an in-studio sales associate and seamstress who is passionate about costumes and costume design. Applicant must :
- have 5 years experience in costume making, sewing and alteration and be able to cut and sew costumes based on specifications provided by management, prepare and design patterns, alter costumes, repair and maintain costumes . Experience with an industrial sewing machine and serger is a must. Knowledge of different fabrics, patterns and garment construction techniques is required. If you do not have sewing experience, please do NOT apply
-have 3-5 years of retail sales experience with a super friendly personality to greet our walk in customers and recommend costume ideas.
-be able to effectively communicate in english, both written an oral as the role will require communication with customers, in person and via email and phone
-have experience in using excel , GSuite, and Shopify POS as the role will require management of the front cash counter and making adjustments to inventory and maintaining trackers and other reports.
-have experience with store merchandising and layout
The use of low level ladders to reach inventory will be necessary. Standing for lengthy periods of time may also be required.
Job Type: Fixed term contractContract length: 4 months
Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 - 30 per week
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
