Housekeeping Aide (Part-time)

St. Joseph's Care Group is expanding care capacity at Hogarth Riverview Manor to better meet the needs of our community. As part of this expansion, our current Willow and Cedar units will transition from their transitional care bed state to long-term care beds by fall 2026. This change will support increased resident capacity and has resulted in the creation of the following new position postings.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Make a meaningful difference every day as a Housekeeping Aide in our long-term care home. This role helps create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents by performing daily cleaning and sanitation of rooms, common areas, and care spaces. Housekeeping Aides are vital to resident comfort and infection control, contributing to quality of life through attention to detail and caring interactions.

WHAT YOU BRING

Education/Experience:

• Minimum grade 12 required

Skills/Abilities:

• Must possess the physical ability to fulfill all aspects of the role
• Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Must possess good time management skills and be able to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to read and write English
• Basic computer skills
• Demonstrated regular attendance at work

Assets:

• Previous cleaning experience in a health care facility is an asset
• Knowledge of WHMIS & Health & Safety regulations is an asset

Conditions of Employment:

• This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC)  where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
• Able to work scheduled shifts and call-ins, as required
