Senior Java Developer at RBR

Make an impact on climate research as a Senior Java Developer at RBR by enhancing desktop software solutions critical for environmental monitoring. Leverage your full-stack experience in a rewarding role. Join RBR’s small, innovative team and be a key player in refining our flagship application, Ruskin, and related calibration tools. This position not only focuses on robust software design but also on direct contributions to understanding climate change through accurate data collection and instrument management. You will guide projects from conception to deployment. Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and improve the desktop application Ruskin
- Develop communication protocols for instrumentation
- Enhance CI/CD and DevOps functionalities
- Foster collaboration with engineering and QA teams
- Provide technical mentorship to teammates
- Significant Java development experience (J2SE or J2EE)
- Familiar with desktop app development (Windows/macOS)
- Experience with automated testing and process improvements
- Strong foundations in OOP and design patterns
- Knowledge of Spring frameworks and SQLite
