Experienced Mammography Technologist Needed

Join the team at Cape Breton Regional Hospital as a Mammography Technologist, where patient care meets cutting-edge imaging technology. This permanent full-time role combines independent judgment with a commitment to quality care. Reporting to the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging, you will be responsible for running mammography and ultrasound equipment. Your role necessitates excellent communication skills within a multidisciplinary team while prioritizing patient safety and comfort. You may also travel to various sites to provide essential screening services across Nova Scotia. Key Responsibilities:
- Produce high-quality mammographic images for screening
- Operate ultrasound units as needed for diagnostics
- Travel to assist in Nova Scotia’s Breast Screening Mobile Unit
- Communicate effectively with a diverse range of healthcare professionals
- Foster a safe environment for patients and colleagues
- Graduate from an accredited Radiological Technology program
- CAMRT certification required for practice
- NSCMIRTP licensure must be maintained
- Commitment to ongoing education and training
- Proficient in additional medical imaging modalities
