Key Responsibilities:
• Counsel clients on various legal rights
• Research and compile legal precedents
• Draft essential legal documents, including estate papers
• Represent clients in tribunals and negotiations (lawyers only)
• Oversee management tasks related to legal practice
Requirements:
• 2-3 years undergraduate study for lawyers
• Bachelor's and master's degrees for notaries
• Bar examination completion required for lawyers
• Provincial law society licensing mandatory
• Notaries must complete specialized internship training
