Senior Program Assistant, Part Time

Program:      M.C. Knolls/ St. Michaels Before and After School Program, Yorkton, SK
Hours:          Hourly: 2:30pm to 5:30pm minimum/ Monday to Friday/ Student Days Only    
Start Date:     September 8, 2026

SIGN M.C. Knolls/ St. Michaels Before and After School Program is seeking a reliable, flexible, attentive and creative individual to support front line staff to deliver safe, engaging and stimulating activities for the children attending the program.  This role will require effective interpersonal skills to provide hands on leadership in programming and safety to all staff and children.

Expectations:
Close and open the BASP Site when needed;
Act as the designate when the Lead Manager is unavailable;
Act as a positive role model to all;
Supervise, motivate and provide verbal direction to children and staff;
Maintain the daily attendance;
Adapt daily activities as needed;
Purchase supplies as needed/ directed by BASP Lead Manager;
Maintain a safe, clean, welcoming, and positive environment at all times;
Monitor the safety of children and address any issues relating to harassment, bullying, or discrimination as quickly as possible.

Qualifications and experience:
Grade 12 or equivalent;
One or more years experience working with children;
Training and experience in education at the early years level would be an asset;
Valid CPR and First Aid C and Safe Food Handling would be an asset;
Must be available to work 2:30pm to 5:30 pm Monday to Friday on student days only.
