Job Description

Job Summary:
As a Lead Field Service Representative, you’ll be responsible for both providing operations and maintenance expertise on water treatment systems, and coordinating the daily work and assisting in the mentorship and development of other Field Service Representatives. This mission critical role involves working on a variety of technologies including, media filtration, softening, reverse osmosis (RO), ion exchange (IX), de-oxygenation, electro deionization, and ultrafiltration (UF), as well as working with varied and diverse team members.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Carry out mechanical, electrical, and controls troubleshooting on equipment such as valves, air compressors, ejectors, process pumps, blowers, and instrumentation
• Consult with customer management and operations teams with confidence
• Mentor and train new FSR’s on site, and coordinate coverage and work for team members in collaboration with the manager. May assist with contractor contact and support
• Perform analytical testing such as: turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO2, O2, SDI, TOC, in addition to various other site-specific testing requirements
• Conduct maintenance and calibration activities for on site equipment
• Review customer plant installations and compare against Water Tech reference drawings (P&IDs, electrical schematics, general arrangement, etc.)
• Create and maintain site paperwork and provide customers with detailed technical summaries of work performed, often the first point of contact for customer concerns and troubleshooting
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and adequate supply of chemicals and replacement parts
• Ensure contract compliance of volume and quality specifications
• Provide customers with informal training around operation and maintenance of their system; serve as a reference and point of contact.

• Excellent mechanical know how and problem-solving skills
• Time management skills, both for yourself and in organizing the efforts of team members
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and remotely with support teams
• Good training and mentorship abilities

Education & Experience:

Required

• High School Diploma / GED / Home School Certification OR international equivalent
• 2+ years’ experience of service/maintenance OR equivalent in an industrial environment
• Valid Driver’s License

Preferred

• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Science/Engineering (STEM) or technical certificate in Instrumentation
• Experience in coordinating work activities of teams in an industrial setting

Working Conditions:

• 80% Travel requirement across Canada as needed
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs
• Work outside will expose you to inclement weather
• Work will take place around potentially hazardous chemicals and loud environments
