Expected Start Date: September 08, 2026 Union: HSAS Facility: Population and Public Health - Regina City/Town: Regina Department: Public Health Inspection Type: Full-time temporary Expected Up to Date: January 29, 2027 FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days Number of Hours per Rotation: Shift of 8 hours Relief: No Float: No Hours of Work: Field Hours Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Public Health Inspector - Degree $38.137 to $46.554 Travel Required: Yes Job : Reporting to a Public Health Inspector Supervisor, the Public Health Inspector is responsible for a comprehensive environmental health program in the community. Using a variety of professional and technical skills the public health inspector protects individual and community wellness through health promotion activities and enforcement of provincial acts and regulations as well as bylaws. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement" Human Resources Exemption: No Education- Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health (BSEH)
Licenses
- Certificate in Public Health Inspector (Canada) (CPHI(C))
Knowledge and Abilities
- Provide training/info. for residential, recreation, commercial premises
- Ability to facilitate reduction of communicable diseases and health hazards
- Ability to investigate complaints to ensure compliance with legislation
- Ability to facilitate community development and encourages a healthy environment
- Ability to performs tech.assessments, provides consultative/educational services
