Director, Real Estate Management

Your Role

Reporting to the Vice President, Operations , the Director, Real Estate Management is responsible for managing, planning, and optimizing Athos’s real estate portfolio. The incumbent oversees the planning and execution of renovation, construction, and major maintenance projects while ensuring sound management of capital investments (CAPEX) and maintaining the quality of our facilities.

This individual works closely with the general managers of our various locations to identify priorities, plan initiatives, and ensure projects are executed effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the management and maintenance of Athos’s real estate portfolio.
• Plan and lead facility renovation, construction, and modernization projects.
• Develop and monitor the real estate capital investment plan (CAPEX) to ensure the long-term sustainability and quality of assets.
• Coordinate the work of external professionals and consultants.
• Oversee tendering processes and the negotiation and management of contracts with external partners.
• Monitor project budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
• Review cost estimates and contractor payment applications.
• Advise senior management and operational teams on real estate project planning.
• Implement management tools and processes to ensure rigorous project monitoring and reporting.

Candidate Profile

Education

University degree in a relevant field, such as Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Real Estate Management, or Business Administration with a specialization in Project Management.

Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of experience managing real estate or construction projects.
• Demonstrated experience overseeing projects involving contractors and professional service providers.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and overseeing significant budgets.
• Experience managing a multi-site real estate portfolio is considered a strong asset.

Certification

• PMP certification or equivalent experience managing complex projects is considered a strong asset.

Requirements

• Bilingual proficiency in French and English
