Bakery Operations Advisor

Job Responsibility:

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Bakery Operations Advisor on a permanent basis on our Centre Store Food team. This position is a hybrid opportunity and is based in Edmonton, AB.

This position plays a pivotal role in driving sustainable growth and operational excellence across the bakery portfolio of Local Co-ops. What you'll do:

• Drive sales growth by collaborating with Local Co-op Senior Managers, identifying improvement opportunities, and coaching managers on executing action plans.
• Develop and implement action plans with Senior Team Leaders to enhance Local Co-ops' EBITDA and operational performance.
• Lead Local Co-ops in store renovations, expansions, and openings, ensuring successful design, product selection, and local marketing efforts in collaboration with the Operations Team.
• Guide Local Co-op Team Leaders on merchandising standards, store layout, and customer experience to boost sales, including reporting on progress.
• Partner with the Zone HR team to identify and develop future management talent, supporting training programs and long-term succession planning.

Please note: This position requires 75% travel.

Who you'll work with :

The Team: You will work closely with other Senior Retail Operations Advisors, the local Co-op Bakery and Food Managers, and will report into the Manager, Retail Operations. This team strives to cultivate a culture of collaboration and customer focus.

The Customers: You will demonstrate customer focus while supporting our local Co-ops in the bakery department.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Business Strategy & Insights and:

• Have 6-9 years of progressively responsible experience in retail management.
• Have a bachelor's degree in business administration, commerce, or marketing (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
• Are a Red Seal Occupation Standard (RSOS) Baker (not required but a strong asset).
