Admin Support

The City of Moose Jaw is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Administrative Support - Operations professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels at managing multiple priorities while delivering exceptional customer service. This position is anticipated to be a twelve (12) month term appointment, with the possibility of extension.

KEY RESPONSIBITIES:
-Perform administrative, secretarial and clerical functions related to the Department of Operations.
-Assemble, collate, prepare, maintain, track and type a variety of technical and administrative material.
-Provide reception services.
-Provide administrative support, including budget tracking and control, task management, records management, communications, procedural and documentation support.
-Assist with dispatch duties.
-Responsible for inputting, assigning, answering and responding to public requests for service; Process and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
-Collect, process, record and deposit monies received.
-Issue sales and purchase orders and process invoices for accounts receivables.
-Maintain and order stationary supplies and equipment.
-Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
-1 year Office Administration Certificate or similar education and a minimum of one (1) year of experience in an administrative or clerical role; OR Grade 12 education plus three (3) years of experience in an administrative or clerical role.
-Experience with Windows-based systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
-Valid Class 5 driver's license; Insurable under the City's insurance policy and able to produce a current driver's abstract.
-Ability to lift to 25lbs.
-Ability to walk long distances for up to 2 hours consecutively.
-Ability to multi-task, establish priorities and work independently, with minimum supervision.
-Ability to operate office equipment.
-Accurate word processing/typing skills.
