Who we need

Reporting to the Sales and Operations Optimization Manager, we are looking for a Transportation Scheduler to join our team and support our plants in Ontario and Indiana. You will dispatch inbound and outbound products and ensure that shipments are scheduled to meet delivery deadlines. You will act as a vital point of contact, bridging teams and vendors.

This is a Monday to Friday day shift hybrid position with the requirement to be onsite 2 days/week.

How you will make an impact:

• Dispatch. You will coordinate inbound and outbound logistics across both sites (Indiana, US, and Ontario, Canada) and create Voyages in Microsoft D365 for each dispatched load.
• Support. You will be the direct point of contact for Material Planners, Customer Service Representatives, and contracted carriers. You will respond to issues with freight POs and invoices, gathering all necessary information. You will manage email and phone communications, sharing details and status to ensure all parties are up to date.
• Analyze. You will prepare reports on transportation carrier activities, performance metrics, and value for cost.

What you bring to the role:

• The experience. You have administrative experience working in a fast-paced environment, entering data, responding to email and phone calls, and acting as a single point of contact for multiple deliverables. You thrive in an autonomous but highly collaborative role. You are deadline-driven, motivated, and ready to help where needed. You may have exposure to warehouse, distribution, and inventory processes.
• The technical skills. You are comfortable using data management and ERP or inventory systems and can quickly learn to use other warehouse and supply chain tools. You can read and understand temperature and weight measures. You have strong analytical skills and can manipulate and draw conclusions from data.
• The interpersonal skills. You have professional and flexible verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to follow and share directions and explain processes. You can build strong working relationships across teams. You genuinely appreciate diverse experiences and backgrounds and are interested in understanding others, hearing their perspectives, and addressing their concerns.
