As a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) , you will be responsible for guiding, teaching, and ensuring the safety of children from infant to school age at centres located in Oakville . Your responsibilities include maintaining a high-quality learning environment, assessing, observing, and caring for the individual needs of each child, and maintaining professional communication with parents and co-workers.

Working Conditions
- Occasional light to medium physical effort, including lifting, bending, and stooping
- Must be able to work outdoors in all seasons
Responsibilities
- Fulfill the lead teacher’s program and daily activities; if no plan exists, create and implement a developmentally appropriate program
- Promote the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual well-being of children
- Provide supervision and prioritize the safety of children; understand and comply with CCEYA, public health, and Sentient HR policies
- Facilitate and participate with children in planned activities
- Maintain and complete comprehensive documentation of children’s development and interactions
- Report issues or concerns that may arise in accordance with centre procedures
- Foster positive relationships and develop rapport through effective communication with peers
- Work cooperatively as a team member and maintain a positive attitude
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- ECE Diploma from a recognized Ontario college
- In good standing with the College of ECEs
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check within the last 6 months
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C
- Familiarity with HDLH, AQI, and CCEYA
- Reliable transportation within Oakville
