Under the direction of the Manager, the Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing nursing services to urban and rural Home Care clients. Facility: Primary Health Care Services; Work Location: Primary Health Care Networks; Home base for this position is 2180 23rd Avenue (WRC). Human Resources Exemption: No Experience
- Minimum of two (2) years recent related nursing experience is required
Education
- Graduate from an approved School of Nursing
- Current registration with CRNS and current BCLS certification.
Licenses
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrated independent nursing judgment in a community-based environment
- Knowledge in nursing process
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team & other agencies in the community
- Current clinical knowledge and skill are required in a broad range of areas.
- Ability to initiate and exercise critical thinking and decision-making.
- Ability to demonstrate appropriate level of professional conduct and judgment.
- Ability to promote effective relationships within the SHA and the community.
Other Education and Training
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS)
- Graduate of an approved Nursing school
