Sifton Properties Limited – Riverbend is a residential community development featuring executive homes and managed properties. Security staff provide mobile or static coverage, conduct patrols, and ensure a safe and secure living environment for residents. The role requires professionalism and strong community-focused communication skills.
Position: Full Time Security Guard

Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement – calculating after 88 hours bi-weekly
Hours: Saturday - Monday (22:00 – 07:00hrs)
Payrate: $19.00/hr

Job Duties:
- You will work part time shifts performing access control duties, including documenting vehicles and their occupants.
- You should display excellent customer service skills and be able to work with people in a fast paced environment.
- In this role, it is essential that you are physically fit and able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Monitor the gatehouse and surrounding area.
- Utilize radio and computer applications for communicating site activities.
- Watch for and report irregularities by completing incident reports, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations; contact emergency responders, such as police, fire, and/or ambulance personnel, as required.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Prerequisites:
- Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
- Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
- English (oral and written) fluency is a must
- Must possess excellent computer skills.
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
- Post-Secondary education in law enforcement from a recognized institution or equivalent experience is preferred
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
- Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
- Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position.
