What will you do?

• Work alongside the developers to help develop and perform integration tests to ensure the code meets the defined acceptance criteria
• Designing tests to mitigate risks and helping business experts define requirements
• Create and run exploratory tests
• Assist other developers with debugging, or additional testing as required
• Enhance and maintain the device testing lab
• Work with the product team to understand/clarify feature requirements and help develop acceptance criteria

What will you need to succeed?

• Pursuing Degree/ Diploma in Computer Science or related discipline
• Writing black box and GUI test cases
• Understanding of basic network communication and protocols sockets packets TCPIP/UDP
• Experience writing simple SQL queries and insert/update statements and basic grasp of SQL Server, PostgreSQL or another relational databas
• Knowledge of basic UNIX and Windows commands bash and CMD Unix shell scripting skills is a plus
• Experience collaborating on some level with programmers and business experts
• Experience in context-based exploratory or scenario testing is an asset
• Ability to work as part of a self-directed team in which you determine your tasks on a daily basis in coordination with co-workers rather than waiting for work to be assigned to you
• Knowledge of SCADA communications is an asset
• Knowledge of Ethernet switches and routers, .NET, JUnit, NUnit, C/C++, Test-Driven Development is an asset
