The distribution clerk, ensure all reports, memos and client notices are directed to the appropriate client and/or location in a timely manner. Take all customer pickup request calls and dispatch all stat and non stat calls in the most cost effective manner possible ensuring applicable collection times are met or exceeded. Act as a courier as required to pick up that samples or as a back-up courier.

Status: Full-time

Hours of Work: Overnight shif t : 3 AM to 11 AM or 4 AM to 12 PM

How YOU Will Make a Difference

• Sort reports, separate out all copy to physician (CC), independent physician mail-outs and fax copies
• Slot all reports and diskettes by appropriate slot code
• Pack reports in appropriate envelope in preparation for courier delivery
• Print envelope labels as required
• Ensure client reports, samples and supplies are dispatched to drivers as required
• Direct reports for doctors and clients without mail slots
• Operate digital mailing equipment to apply postage to all outgoing mail
• Prepare and send out mail, samples and packages via Mail/Courier Provider as required
• Stamp with appropriate postage of all outgoing mail including independent physicians and copy to physicians (CC)
• Responsible for coding of outgoing mail and updating the meter
• Responsible for sorting and delivery of external and internal mail as required
• Scan and retrieve images as required for ECGs and problem solving
• Maintain effective communication with other departments concerning doctor reports, etc.
• Ensure all inquiries and problems are handled in a courteous and professional manner
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of appropriate information
• Trace missing or delayed Purolator shipments as required

What YOU Bring To The Role

• Secondary school education required

Technical Skills

• Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast paced environment

Social Process Skills

• Good interpersonal skills and ability to deal with angry clients

Confidentiality

• Preserve and safeguard all confidential employee information during the course of employment with Dynacare

Proficiency

• Approximately 3 to 6 months of time required to learn all aspects of the job

Working Conditions

• High traffic area, noise and temperature changes
• Primarily standing 90% of the time but not in one spot and with repetitive movements
• Able to lift 5 to 10 pounds (frequently every hour)

Hourly rate : $18.00 per hour
