Position: Part-Time Security Guard - Empire Life
Site: Empire Life - 259 Ontario St E
Hours: Saturday/Sunday 2030-0830
Payrate: $19.00/hour
Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Job Responsibilities:
- Proactive & reactive security patrols
- Response to incidents
- Report writing
- Investigate routine incidents
- De-escalate situations involving dealing, drinking, and fighting to ensure that all areas are covered and secured at all times
- Ensure that individuals are not trespassing/loitering
- Access control into building
- Intervene in medical emergencies
- Liaise with emergency responders, clients, and Paladin management
- Surveillance monitoring
- Additional duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Valid Security License for Ontario
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR - Level C + AED (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
- Successful completion of onboarding and site training
- Able to stand for up to 12 hours per shift
- Able to complete extensive patrolling of site
- English communication (oral and written) required
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
- Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
- Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position/availability
- Legally authorized to work in Canada

First Aid, CPR Level C
Valid Ontario Security License
