Cleaning Services Worker I

1 position 7am - 3pm

The Housekeeper clean and maintain assigned area(s) to meet customer and client satisfaction. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs. 

Job Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize student rooms, hallways, lounges, and shared spaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all assigned areas.
• Clean and restock dormitory restrooms and shower facilities.
• Empty trash and recycling; ensure proper disposal.
• Maintain cleanliness of laundry rooms and shared kitchenettes (if applicable).
• Ensure all designated areas are thoroughly cleaned. 
• Ensure all equipment is used and stored as necessary. 
• Ensure regular checks of equipment and report any deficiencies. 
• Check equipment is safe and working. 
• Assist in linen systems. 
• Carry out extra spring/deep cleaning tasks as the need arises. 
• Use of site washing machine for internal laundry where appropriate. 
• Follow the Health and Safety Regulations and Fire Policy. 
• Report hazards to Management. 
• Maintain component hygiene standards. 
• Follow company or component policy in taking care of customer comments or complaints. 
• Ensure that clothing, including footwear and headgear, and personal hygiene is of the highest standards atall times. 
• Participate in company training to improve your standard of performance. 
• Suggest areas of improvement and take any corrective action, as required. 
• Carry out any other reasonable instructions of Aramark Management.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping, custodial work, or residential facility cleaning preferred.
• Ability to lift and move furniture, mattresses, and cleaning equipment.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and safe handling procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Professionalism, reliability, and commitment to maintaining a safe living environment for students.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
