We’re Hiring an Experienced Server for Fanny Bay Oyster Bar. We’re looking for a friendly, energetic, and hospitality-minded server to join our team and deliver an exceptional guest experience from greeting to farewell.
What You’ll Do
- Provide warm, attentive, and professional service throughout the guest experience
- Greet guests promptly and create a welcoming first impression
- Take accurate food and beverage orders
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of our menu, seafood, oysters, and beverage offerings
- Make thoughtful recommendations based on guests’ preferences
- Proactively upsell food and beverage items whenever appropriate, including appetizers, oysters, premium selections, desserts, and beverages
- Identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience through additional menu and beverage offerings
- Deliver food and drinks efficiently and professionally
- Check in with guests regularly to ensure their needs are met
- Address guest questions, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming dining area
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and front-of-house team
- Support your teammates and contribute to a positive work environment
- Complete additional tasks and duties as assigned by the supervisor
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Server in a full-service or seafood restaurant
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong sales skills and confidence in making recommendations and upselling
- Flexible and open availability is considered an asset.
- Valid Serving It Right certification required
- Previous oyster bar or seafood service experience is considered an asset
