Schedule

11+ Hours/day, Saturdays and Sundays as required, Schedule as per Operational Requirements, OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week

Location

Edmonton and Surrounding Area’s (non-camp position, required to live in the area)

Essential

Hard-working, reliable, flexible with schedule, ability to work in physically demanding conditions

Requirements

• Minimum five (5) years Civil /Earthworks experience including experience in constructing Roadways/Subdivisions.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (non GDL)
• Clean Driving Record
• CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support

Pre-employment

• Drug and alcohol testing which may be swab or urine depending on site requirements
• Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation

Labour Foreman Responsibilities

• Oversee, supervise and manage crew, including equipment operators and labourers
• Ensure schedules and timelines are met
• Work with project management to schedule and coordinate tasks
• Ensure equipment is maintained at the highest standards, in a timely manner
• Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture

Labour Foreman Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years Civil or Industrial Foreman, with experience in constructing Roadways/Subdivisions.
• In depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OHS guidelines.
• Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints.
• Excellent organizational and leadership with the ability to communicate and report effectively.
• Must have extensive knowledge of "Urban" Subdivision grading or Industrial.
• Recognizes and understands the safe operation of heavy equipment and material handling.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Must be a team player.
• Committed to working in a safe and efficient manner.
• Civil Engineering Technology or Construction Engineering Technology degree/diploma considered an asset.
