Lead, Financial Systems - OneStream

Join a high-impact team and play a key role in the ongoing evolution and optimization of the OneStream XF platform, supporting critical financial reporting, forecasting, and enterprise performance management processes across the business.

This is an 18-month contract opportunity with a hybrid working model (3 days onsite), open to candidates based in Vancouver or Toronto.

What- the Role:

Our client is seeking a Lead, Financial Systems – EPM to support the ongoing administration, optimization, and evolution of their enterprise performance management platform, OneStream XF.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a strong accounting or finance foundation combined with deep experience working in enterprise performance management systems. The successful candidate will bring both financial acumen and technical capability, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable system solutions within OneStream XF.
Partnering closely with Finance, FP&A, Controllership, and IT, this role plays a key part in supporting financial reporting, forecasting, system performance, and continuous improvement across the platform.

• Lead the day-to-day administration, configuration, and ongoing optimization of the OneStream XF platform
• Support core finance processes including financial close, consolidation, planning, forecasting, reporting, intercompany eliminations, currency translation, and period-end activities
• Maintain system components including workflows, business rules, integrations, reporting, dashboards, cubes, and data management processes
• Partner with Finance, Controllership, FP&A, IT, and external stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into scalable system solutions
• Ensure integrity, accuracy, and consistency of financial data through imports, mappings, reconciliations, validations, and control processes
• Manage user access, security roles, audit trails, and governance processes to support compliance and audit readiness
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and support upgrades, testing, UAT, and release management activities
• Lead or support financial systems initiatives, enhancements, and continuous improvement projects
• Develop and maintain documentation including SOPs, runbooks, user guides, and training materials
• Provide ongoing support and training to finance users and key stakeholders across the business
• Identify opportunities for automation, process efficiencies, and enhanced reporting through new platform functionality and integrations

Who- the Candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related discipline
• CPA designation strongly preferred
• Hands-on experience with OneStream XF, ideally in administration, configuration, or financial systems support
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, consolidation, forecasting, and enterprise performance management processes
• Experience supporting EPM, financial reporting, or corporate finance systems in a complex environment
• Knowledge of data integration, data governance, and financial controls across ERP or general ledger systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
• Comfortable working with data validation, reconciliations, and financial systems troubleshooting
• SQL or data querying experience considered an asset
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or related reporting tools is an asset
• Strong communication skills with the ability to partner cross-functionally and translate business needs into system solutions
• Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• OneStream certification is considered a strong asset

How Much:

$122,000-$150,000 a year commensurate with experience + completion bonus, extended health (no dental), 4 weeks vacation, and many additional perks.
