Senior Infrastructure Specialist DB

Responsibilities
- Build data pipelines in the Microsoft Azure platform that support the consumption of structured and unstructured data using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to analyze, transform, and model large complex data sets for business insights, operational reporting, and analytics.
- Develop data solutions that facilitate reuse across business functions.
- Develop and support the creation of conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Lead and support the migration of on‑premise data solutions to the Microsoft Azure platform.
- Actively contribute to and improve data solutions and best practices.
- Collaborate with internal technical stakeholders and business partners to resolve data‑related technical issues.
- Advise others on data modelling and the use of database technologies.
- Provide support for initiatives related to existing legacy databases and data capture (CDC).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience developing data solutions with a strong background in data warehousing (using Kimball dimensional design methodology).
- Strong relational database development experience in Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience developing ETL constructs using Informatica or an equivalent tool.
- Recent development experience on the Microsoft Azure platform (Databricks, Azure Data Factory), Kafka, Python (or R), Spark, and data capture (CDC).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to understand business needs and deliver high‑quality service aligned with the organization’s vision, purpose, and values.
- Passion for technology, a strong self‑starter attitude, and openness to learning new ideas.
- Familiarity with API and microservice integration.
- Ability to explain technical issues to diverse audiences and make data‑driven decisions.
Base salary: $85,200 - $135,200 annually, excluding variable compensation components.
