ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Clinical Manager and as a member of the interprofessional team, the Clinical Support Clerk is responsible for maintaining client health records, coordinating incoming and outgoing communications, acting as reception, and performing other functions which enhance the function of the service.

WHAT YOU BRING

Education/Experience:

• Diploma in Office Administration or a related administrative program
• Previous clerical experience, preferably in a healthcare environment

Skills/Abilities:

• Demonstrated effective and concise verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, co-workers, program staff, physicians, clients, families, and the general public
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other relevant computer systems, including accurate data entry
• Ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position
• Sound judgment and the ability to maintain confidentiality
• Demonstrated regular attendance at work

Assets:

• Experience using UKG scheduling and MEDITECH/MEDITECH Expanse systems.
• Knowledgeable of SJCG programs and services.
• Completion of a medical terminology course.

Conditions of Employment:

• This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
