Montreal Startup VP Finance Position

Lead financial strategies in a thriving Series Seed Startup based in Montreal, Quebec. This role is ideal for a proactive finance leader experienced in managing the complexities of a two-sided marketplace.
As Vice President of Finance, you will dictate the financial strategy that underpins marketplace operations and directly advise the CEO. A focus on fundraising and navigating Quebec's unique funding landscape will be essential for supporting the startup's growth and economic health.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advise the CEO on financial and product-related strategies
• Spearhead fundraising and manage venture debt acquisitions
• Optimize government program participation and requirements
• Collaborate on creator payouts and performance rewards
• Develop robust financial models for the marketplace
Requirements:
• Location in Quebec with cultural fluency
• Experience in high-growth tech industries
• Knowledge of marketplace financial mechanisms
• Successful track record with SR&ED and IRAP claims
• Prior experience as a first finance hire or head of finance
